Just some quick thoughts from this morning - what I've been pondering on the last few days, and what feels relevant.
I keep coming across some angry yogis (full of passion, but too fiery!) in print, and I know I can get all ruffled up, so it gets me thinking. On the other hand, I've also been experiencing some dispassionate people banging their heads against the wall they keep building, brick by brick.
In the midst of all of it, I've been watching folks (and trying to make my own way) as they manifest stepping into their higher callings, their next growth phase, their more subtle selves.
My premise - "Purpose without passion is a dream; passion without purpose creates nightmares; when we align purpose and passion, we wake up and start turning our dreams into reality."
That's it - just wanted to share a thought, want to keep reminding myself that when I'm feeling frustrated, it's simply the energetic of the passion I have, just not in alignment with my purpose. Similarly, sometimes we wake up and find ourselves continuing on in a really purposeful way (perhaps in order to satisfy others or do what is needed), but without our passion engaged, and to further the metaphor, we just kinda sleepwalk on through life.
Waking up! That's what we are working on - it's just as tough as getting out of bed on a cold and rainy day, feeling exhausted by the prior day and night, but it's what we are called to do.
Maybe consider for yourself, those things you find yourself purposefully doing - what you put your energy and time and attention into - are you passionate about them? Do they fill you with energy and joy and the desire to engage and share?? And, those things that do make you passionate, is there any way to align your purpose with those things?? Is there a way to make life choices that affirm your passions!?
When you're feeling frustrated, can you check that motion and emotion and see if there is something that ISN'T happening and that's where your passion is derailed? And, can you make the really tough commitment to start focusing on what you'd LIKE to see occur or manifest, and stop concentrating your passion and energy on what you DON'T like?
Tough work, so get, wake up! Let the sleeper awaken from the dreams and start to co-create a purposeful, passionate reality - ready to do it??
Give thanks and praise!
